OCEAN TECH AND SAN DIEGO FRENCH AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OPEN AN OCEAN WORK CENTER IN CALIFORNIA
Since April 12, a partnership agreement between the San Diego French American Chamber of Commerce and the OceanTech has been effective, in order to allow the creation of an Ocean Work Center, a dynamic between the ecosystems of the OceanTech network and the area of the greater San Diego.
A New Partnership Agreement For a New Ocean Work Center
The opening of an Ocean Work Center in California is a strategic decision to reinforce, on the one hand, the welcome in France of startups and on the other hand, to speed up the opening of the US market for the Startups of the OceanTech international network.
An “Ocean Work Center” is a decentralized work space, flexible and pre-equipped with the necessary technologies to accommodate startups in a nomadic situation. The objective of this network is to allow them to test over durations determined by each labeled area, their markets and/or develop proofs of concept.
La Ocean Tech System
To accelerate this dynamic, the OceanTech began to build in 2017 an international network through industrial partnerships and strategic research. The first three ecosystems labeled, in 2017, are in Bilbao (Spanish Basque Country), in Saint-Denis (Reunion Island), in Cape Tamarin (Mauritius). They will be joined in 2018 by Porto (Portugal), Nantes (France), Nouméa (New Caledonia), Natal (Brazil), Sydney and Melbourne (Australia), etc.
For example, the startups of the network will be able to be welcomed in the premises of LA OCEAN TECH – BILBAO, THE OCEAN TECH – Réunion Island, The Creative Hall, the Totem building of THE OCEAN TECH – SAINT JEAN DE LUZ which will open its doors in September 2018, but also in the premises of OCEAN TECH – SAN DIEGO via the OuiStart program.
Each Ocean Work Center of the international network of “LA OCEAN TECH” is organized to meet the needs of companies and startups (Ocean, Actions & Outdoor sports, Digital, Health, Biotech, etc.).
